Over the summer of 2018, a group of community members and MCHS Administration, with the assistance from the MCHS Board of Education, established the District #111 Foundation for Educational Excellence. 
The mission of our foundation is to inspire excellence, foster innovation, and nurture potential.

Goals include: Monetary support for the MCHS community through innovative initiatives, technology upgrades and capital improvement opportunities, Conduit for community members and alumni who wish to leave a legacy to MCHS, Honor tradition by recognizing our rich history, Strengthen community engagement through outreach and events.


MCHS District #111 Foundation for Educational Excellence has awarded 12 Grants totaling: $19,370.00

District 111 Foundation for Educational Excellence awarded a grant
of $67.99 to the World Language Dept. for a Portable Bluetooth
Speaker. This will help students in the classroom hear presentation videos.

of $1,500 to the PE Department for (5) iPads. This will provide
students & parents with immediate feedback on all student behind
the wheel drives. Congratulations!

of $612.00 to the World Language Dept for a GoFormative Subscription.
This will help implement formative & summative assessments to provide
understanding of student abilities.

of $1,500 to the Music Dept. for a Harmony Director. This keyboard
facilitates the teaching of intonation by demonstration rather than
explanation. Congratulations!

of $239.00 to the World Language Dept. for Garbanzo & El Mundo
En Tus Manos Subscriptions. This allows students to improve reading
& listening skills through interactive stories.

of $1,500 to the CTE Department for a MakerBot SKETCH 3D Printer.
This will help students design solutions to problems using computer
design software. Congratulations!

District 111 Foundation for Educational Excellence awarded a grant
of $91.13 to the Math Department for Refillable Dry Erasers. Math
Teacher, Jason Allen, will be using the erasers within a class project
to study cost savings. Congratulations!

of $1,500 to the PE/Health Department for Push Sensors technology.
The Push Sensors gives you instant feedback to see results and innovation
to optimize your training time. Congratulations!


District 111 Foundation for Educational Excellence awarded a grant
of $198.99  to the Math Department for a document camera. This will
provide 
students a way to display their work to the class to better
explain their thought process on math exercises. Congratulations! 



District 111 Foundation for Educational Excellence awarded a grant
of $1,500 to the Art Department for a (5) digital cameras. This will
allow 
students that do not have digital cameras the opportunity to
borrow as needed. Congratulations!

District #111 Foundation for Educational Excellence awarded a grant of $10,000 to the Career and Technical Education Department (CTE) Monday, April 29, 2019 at the MCHS Board of Education meeting. The grant was awarded to help purchase Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality goggles to be used in classroom learning programs.
