Parking & Arrival Procedures

Student Parking

The Deans’ Office will be selling student parking permits at a cost of $150 to all seniors and only juniors who are currently enrolled in a GAVC class in which busing is not available. Students will not be sold a parking permit if they still owe current and/or previous school fees and/or need to meet any previous school obligations (including GAVC students). Registration for the 2024-2025 school year must also be complete in PowerSchool.

Parking Permit Request Form & Fee

The parking permit request form and associated fee are now available online and must be completed/paid via PowerSchool. Directions for paying fees in PowerSchool can be found here. Because each permit request in PowerSchool is associated with a specific student, a sibling may not complete a form on their behalf. The student/parent must complete the process.

Important Information

Students planning to purchase a parking permit must keep the following in mind:

  • Prior to purchasing a parking permit, students must have paid, in full, all outstanding school fees and/or obligations including the 2024-2025 school year fees by the date of permit purchase.

    • Fees must be paid in PowerSchool. Directions for paying fees can be found here.

  • Registration for the 2024-2025 school year must be complete in PowerSchool.

Junior Lottery Procedure

Junior students may access the parking permit request form on PowerSchool on July 25th. Prior to purchasing a parking permit, students must have paid, in full, all outstanding school fees and/or obligations including the 2024-2025 school year fees by the date of permit purchase. Registration for the 2024-2025 school year must also be complete in PowerSchool.

These fees must be paid via PowerSchool. Directions for paying fees can be found here.

All applications submitted will be entered into a junior lottery to determine placement on the junior waiting list.  Students selected will be notified Friday, August 9th. All applications that are submitted after this date will be placed on the junior waiting list in the order that they were received.

Once notified, selected juniors will have three business days to purchase their permit.  If the permit is not purchased within three business days, the application will be placed at the bottom of the junior lottery.

Junior GAVC Students

Any MCHS junior who is taking a GAVC class in which transportation is not provided, and is requesting a parking permit, must go into PowerSchool and complete the parking permit request form, if you haven’t already. All school fees and/or obligations for the school year including completed registration, must be complete in PowerSchool. These students will be notified Friday, August 2nd, regarding purchasing a parking permit.

Campus Visitors

If you go to either campus during the school day to pick up/drop off a student or run into the office, do not park directly in front of the school in the yellow lines. This lane is used for buses transporting students back and forth between campuses during the day as well as for our School Resource Officers (SRO). This is to ensure the safety of our students and transportation accessibility. Please utilize the visitor parking spaces at both campuses.
