
Congratulations to our first ever Powerlifting Team that now has four individual State Champions - Madison Kelly, Carson Johnson, Nathan DeBold, and Dylan McDowell, as well as two individual State runner ups - Ryan Keener and Robbie Murphy. They took home a third place team finish! #mchsproud



Mrs. Julie Ziel's Clothing 2 students participated in a service project where they worked in groups to determine a need, create a product, and give to those in need. They completed and donated 10 fidget mazes donated to the REACH department for students, 8 fidget mazes and 4 tote bags for Heritage Woods resident Bingo prizes, 7 pairs of pajamas, 20 hand puppets, and 3 stuffed animals for the Will County Advocacy Center for their young clients, 6 pillows donated to the Timbers of Shorewood for residents, and 50 baby bibs were donated to Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital. #mchsproud #mchsgivesback

Congratulations to junior Maya Ledesma who took 5th place in the 3200m Run at the State track meet this weekend and earned All State honors! It was a personal record and #3 All Time on the MCHS Leaderboard. 10:53.48. #mchsproud



Boys baseball is proud to announce that we have 5 baseball players represented on the all conference team: Nate George, Brayden Zilis, Isaac Goddard, CJ Deckinga, and Ryan Anderson. Nate George was voted the Conference Most Valuable Player and Brayden Zilis was voted as the Conference Pitcher of the Year. Congratulations to all! #mchsproud


Earlier this month, two MCHS students, Vivienne Forte and Evelyn Gonzalez, as part of Grundy Area FFA, participated in the Illinois (State) Envirothon competition and earned 3rd place! This was a team event where they listen to presenters and took a written test and completed a practicum in the areas of Aquatics, Forestry, Soils, Wildlife, and Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future. Mr. Andres Torres was voted to receive the School Spirit Award, Mrs. Adrianna Walker was selected to receive the Staff Member of the Year Award, and Dawn Kirkland and Eileen Kozlowski were selected to receive the Community Partner of the Year Award for their work with the athletic booster club.
